Caleb Curren earned his B.A. and M.A degrees in Anthropology from the University of Alabama. He also completed postgraduate research at the University of Texas, the University of Alabama, and the University of Florida. His fieldwork, through cultural resource management projects and numerous federal, state, and private grants, includes research in Yucatan, Guanajuato, Amazonia, and throughout the southeastern United States. He is currently the President of Contact Archeology Inc. which focuses on the first European expeditions into the current United States. He has authored and co-authored over 300 research results in the form of reports, articles, books, and lectures. He has taught in a number of field and classroom settings at several institutions.
